NOTICE: The PMPA (part-time, professional) program has been recommended to be placed under temporary suspension of admissions, pending completion of the process outlined in the Senate Guidelines. The temporary suspension of admissions will last for two years as per the Senate Guidelines - 03/05/2024.
The Professional Master of Public Administration (PMPA) program is designed for experienced senior administrators and executives in First Nations and other Indigenous agencies. This unique program helps leaders integrate traditional knowledge and philosophies into Indigenous policy and governance, and build capacity with Indigenous communities.
Students acquire policy development and analysis skills, and build management capacity in ways that help them translate policy into action.
The PMPA curriculum includes core courses in economics, policy analysis, governance, management and quantitative methods. Through elective courses and an optional master’s project, students apply their skills to the analysis and resolution of concrete policy and management problems.
PMPA offers a rich and rewarding learning experience, with faculty who are leading scholars and prominent policy leaders, among accomplished and ambitious student colleagues who are committed to making a significant difference in their workplace and their community for the benefit of others.
