STANDALONE INDIGENOUS DEGREES
NEW! In late March, the Indigenous Advanced Education and Skills Council (IAESC) announced that it is beginning to accept submissions for program accreditation.
This exciting development represents the next steps in the actualization of the Indigenous Institutes Act, 2017, an acknowledgement of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), 2007. It means that FNTI, and our sister Indigenous Institutes in Ontario, now have the means to deliver our own standalone post-secondary credentials!
We anticipate submitting program proposals to IAESC this spring and are hopeful to deliver inaugural intakes of the programs above in Fall 2021.
