THE HISTORY OF FNTI
FNTI is an Indigenous owned and controlled post-secondary institute, was created in 1985 through innovative and dynamic partnerships between the Tyendinaga Mohawk Council, FNTI Board of Directors, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, and the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities, to provide access to post-secondary programs for Indigenous Peoples.
Over 4,000 students have successfully graduated from FNTI's certificate, diploma and degree partnership programs since its inception.
