Indigenous Garden Administration

Coordination of community gardens includes knowledge and skills in all stages of garden development, including harvesting, celebration and food preparation. Learners will build on their knowledge of planning and planting as they acquire and demonstrate knowledge and skills in Indigenous community garden harvesting practices, regional food recipes, food preparation and preserving.

Learning Outcomes

1. Prepare a culturally appropriate plan and budget for an Indigenous community garden.
2. Prepare a funding proposal, and fundraising plan for an Indigenous community garden.
3. Develop partnerships and long-term plans/strategy for a sustainable Indigenous community garden.
