Foundations of Indigenous Law
This micro-credential will offer learners the opportunity to study Indigenous concepts of law, legal orders and legal systems, specifically from the worldviews of Haudenosaunee and Anishinabek Nations. Participants will explore how Indigenous law emulates the operating laws of nature that work in harmony with the changing cycles of life. The roles of Creation stories and wampum teachings in maintaining Indigenous law will also be introduced.
