Safety in Practice
This micro-credential will introduce learners to teachings and traditional values that reinforce mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical safety in practice. This micro-credential will challenge learners’ understanding of bi-cultural practices and increase their knowledge and understanding of the traditional practices of self-care and their resource bundle to utilize in practice.
Learning Outcomes
- Describe examples of cultural humility and explain how this relates to the importance of diverse practices.
- Describe and discuss wholistic healing methodologies including two-eyed seeing models of healing and wellness.
- Utilize teachings and stories to connect to identity and increase self-awareness.
- Will create and use a resource bank that promotes safety in practice and self-care that includes traditional practices, healing, and wellness.
