Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory – The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Suzanne (Katsitsiarishon) Brant as President of FNTI (First Nations Technical Institute), effective immediately.
Brant was FNTI’s Vice-president, Academic before assuming the role of Acting President, in 2015 and has held a number of other positions at FNTI, including curriculum developer, teacher and program manager.
She has provided consultant services to the Chiefs of Ontario, Corrections Canada and Loyalist College, in addition to mentoring and counselling Indigenous students and clients at Loyalist and Kagita Mikam.
“Throughout Suzanne’s tenure with FNTI, she has proven herself not only as an educator but also as a leader. Her varied academic background demonstrates her versatility and passion for learning. She began with a diploma in Business Management, including marketing and finance, went onto a degree in Integrated Medicine and finally received a Masters in Environmental Studies,” states Ralph Brant, Chair of Board of Directors at FNTI.
