Indigenous Community Garden Coordinator

The Indigenous Community Garden Coordinator bundle provides the practical skills, knowledge, and cultural competencies necessary to plan, develop and implement gardens for rural, remote, and urban conditions in a wide variety of positions and organizations.  

This gardening training is based on a Two-Eyed Seeing approach, using the best from both Indigenous and Western knowledge systems. The Indigenous Community Garden Coordinator competencies include the skills, knowledge and continuous learning attributes required to advance careers in Indigenous and non-Indigenous community garden environments. Learners will investigate Indigenous food systems, agricultural practices, garden design and planning, seed saving, traditional food teachings, harvesting practices and community garden administration. Learners will also develop the knowledge and skills to market their new capacities to local organizations, employers, and community groups.  

Learners can request a Certificate of Recognition after the successful completion of three micro-credentials within this Bundle.
