The ICDS worker functions within a community health care team by facilitating access to services, advocacy, health promotion, and self-management support for individuals, families and community members. Be the difference for people at risk for developing or living with diabetes.
Graduates receive an Indigenous Community Diabetes Support Certificate from Canadore College and find employment in a variety of community practice settings, including but not limited to: family health teams, health authorities, tribal councils, treaty organizations and Indigenous communities.
